Eden's Rain Salon

I've been going here ever since I moved to town 2ish years ago and this is the first time I've stuck with the same stylist. Melissa does a great job and is careful and meticulous about making sure you get a great haircut and are happy with it. She's is passionate about what she does and you can tell. I've had nothing but good experiences here and recommend her to everyone. Also the masseuse is wonderful! If I could afford to I'd ego see her more often too.

The owner/hairdresser of Eden's Rain Salon gave me one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. I was explaining to her the quirks of my hair; when I told her that I was letting my hair grow and eventually wanted the sides to be the same length as the back she interupted me to let me know that SHE was the Professional. SHE was trained to know what sort of haircuts looked good with my face shape. SHE did not want me to tell her how I wanted my hair cut. (at this point I should have ran out of there, but not wanting to make a scene.. I stayed... in my chair... allowing her to take those lethal scissors to my hair.... Big Mistake! Evidently she knew more about what I wanted than I did because she proceeded to cut my hair VERY SHORT, angling the sides from the top of my ears (no longer even close to the length to the back now). She cut my bangs SHORT - in fact she called them "baby bangs". I have never had my bangs this short; even as a child. I was born with longer bangs than I have now. Get the picture? My bangs are SHORT!! The neckline, which I asked to be whispy instead of a severe line is chopped up. Now I know that there is a difference between whispy and chopped up. For one thing whispy looks good, chopped up doesn't. The middle of the back is very short, the edges are longer but not even. It just looks as if I have several stray hairs clinging to my neck. She parted my hair on the other side (opposing my natural part) because as she put it " your hair doesn't know what looks good - I do." This woman is so full of herself and her capabilities. I don't care what SHE thinks looks good on me... if I don't like my hair cut there is no way I am ever going back there. If I were you... I would stay away from her too. Unless you have a Halloween Party to attend.
