Early Learning Center

This is without a doubt the best child care you will find in town. The majority of the staff have extensive child care experience and training and are great teachers and supporters of the children as well as their parents. It is a warm, friendly, nurturing environment that cultivates the child's unique strengths and autonomy and truly sees them as individuals. The playground is a beautiful place for the children to have many rich learning experiences. There are several rooms in the older child groups in which they can explore and learn and select from a variety of activities. The art and projects that my children bring home from Early Learning are amazing!! All of the children I see there seem happy and well cared for. There is a richness of character about the place and wisdom that you will not find anywhere else. The director is particularly wonderful and supportive and inspires my confidence in the care at Early Learning.

Early Learning is terrific! Our son has been attending since he was 8 months old in the Butterfly classroom + now he's 3 — and still comes home to tell us all about what he's done at school and about all of his friends. Each of his teachers have been pivotal in his care + development. EL's playground and play-based learning was completely ideal for what we were hoping to find in a center.

Early Learning was also instantly bumped to the top of our list when we realized how flexible and considerate Jill Moore, the director, was with our non-traditional schedules. It is also one of the more affordable child centers in Champaign-Urbana — but, does not skimp on the essentials.

This place is AMAZING. The best teacher to child ratios you will find around C-U and surrounding areas. Staff actually plays with the kids. Most teachers have been there 10 yrs or more which is unheard of for a daycare center. Which is a testment to the director Jill who has been running it for 30 years and just received an award for the IL State Legislature for her work in Early Childhood Education. They are super flexible and friendly. My daughter went from hating daycare and clinging to me to getting to school and just running off and playing. I cannot say enough great things about this place and the people who work there. I have 2 children in school there.
