Merry Maids

They came into my home for the first time, and all I can say is it was atrocious. It looked as though they maids had swept all the pet hair and dirt under my recliner and come to find out sofa. They stated my bathroom shower glass door was broken, and they "did their best" to clean it. However, prior to their visit my shower door was not broken, but now is. Along with that there were water spots all over every shiny surface in my washroom and kitchen. The kitchen counters were not cleaned or even wiped off, nor were the window sills. Then there was more to find in the living room. The coffee table (a $1,200.00 custom piece) was scratched presumably by the vacuum in several locations, the fireplace was not touched, and my recliner was dirtier than when I had left. The bedroom floors were partially clean, however there were spots where they did not even attempt to clean up a spot or two. The clothes were placed on the dresser in a disorganized fashion. All of this was reported except for the damages that I found upon taking a further inspection of my home before I had to leave today. I spoke with Bethany, and the owner, at which time I was assured that the person responsible was fired that morning. The owner also stated that my next clean would be free. At that time I assumed that this obvious lack of a cleaning would be free as well. Not so. They still charged my credit card $108.00. Do not use this service. I will be going into their office tomorrow to demand this money returned and provide proof of the damaged items for a claim that I will be filing. Absolutely the worst housekeeping experience of my life. Which is regrettable as Merry Maids was also responsible for my home in Illinois. I have sent notification for a cancellation of service to that location as well.
