Kidz & Teen Dental

Dr Heider is 2nd to NONE!! He and all of his staff have PERFECTED both my son's teeth since "birth" sort of. He is the only dentist they have seen and... he did both of their orthodontist. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kidz and Teen every day of my life. They will not have a lifetime with really, really nice teeth/smile. If I could give a ZERO star, I would. Please be aware. Kidz and Teen Dental is the worst place I have ever taken my child to. The staff is rude and very unprofessional. They make you wait for hours, they don’t help you with payments or insurance issues or questions, and they never call you back when they say they will. The staff roll their eyes at you and make nasty remarks when they don’t think you are listening. I was referred to this dentist, Mr. Syed Haider, because my 8 year old had abscesses in his mouth and had to have 5 teeth pulled, so he told us. This is still up for debate as well. We feel that he took too many teeth out. For this whole procedure, he wouldn’t even submit to insurance first to see what I was responsible for. I have never dealt with my dental insurance and thought this was how it goes. He requested I make a payment of $871, which I still don’t know what this was for as his staff keeps sending me the wrong paperwork. Since my son was hysterical, the dentist stated that we need to put him under anesthesia because they were unable to pull the 5 teeth, and scheduled for later date. They continue to tell me that it is going to cost me another $1044 that must be paid up front. My insurance says that the dentist office was supposed to submit the paperwork before collecting a full payment from me. I thought something was wrong. Come to find out from my insurance company, I should have never paid the total of $1915 and I was only responsible for $633. Mind you, I still don’t know what all I was charged for. Mr. Syed Haider owes me $1282 from my overpayment. I have called and left messages at his office with no return call. He sent me an email stating that he will no longer be my son’s dentist, and still hasn’t responded to my reply email to this notice. I would like my refund back along with a total itemized list of what was done and what the charges were.

Dr. Haider has great bed side manners. He is really good with young children and children that are scared. He did a procedure on my 3 year old and it didn't hurt at all. He also did braces on my 12 year old and she has beautiful smile. We have been coming her for 5 years and are really happy with the doctor and staff. Every one is really helpful.

My son is really scared of dentist due to his past experience with another pediatric dentist in Richardson. There he had his tooth pulled without any sedation and now he is really nervous. I found Dr. Haider by searching on Google and finding a pediatric dentist with most positive reviews. My son had a procedure with Dr Haider in his office with a pill and laughing gas while I held his hand. This office had no problems letting me go back.

My son is now not scared of dentist -----THANK YOU DR HAIDER for giving him a positive dental experience.

I was recently referred to Dr. Haider from an dentist in Frisco, TX. My son was scared of our general dentist and wouldn't even let them take an x-ray. Dr. Haider and his staff were not even able to take his necessary x-rays but were also able to squeeze him into their busy schedules and take care of my son the same day. I was able to hold his hands during the procedure and he did so good for Dr. Haider. I found Dr. Haider very confident and capable and highly recommend him as a great pediatric dentist. I have already scheduled my other two sons for their checkup and cleaning with him.

Every experience I have with Dr. Haider and his staff is an extremely welcoming and very professional experience. They answer all my questions, greet me pleasantly, and want to be sure I am always satisfied. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a great, friendly practice!

I scheduled my son's first dental appointment for when he turned 12 months old. The appointment was scheduled months in advance. When I got there, the waiting room was so full that there was no where to sit. There were at least 10 children with their parents in that room.



I asked the receptionist how long the wait was going to be. She stated with a fast tone, "Not very long". Giving the impression that maybe the children in the waiting room where siblings that did not have an appointment. The impression that she gave me was that the wait would be just a couple of minutes.



We finally were called back, with a few other children at the same time, after about 45 minutes of waiting. When we get to the back there are still several children in there that were called earlier, still waiting to be seen.



We were finally called over to see the dental assistant after waiting another 30 minutes. This lady informs us that my 12 month old son should not eat for 30 minutes after they clean his teeth.



It was time for him to eat. We were not anticipating to wait 1 1/2 hours to see the dentist. He was tired of being in that room, and wanted to eat.



After waiting all of that time, I told them that I was not going to be able to do that. I needed to feed my son. They told me that we could reschedule the appointment.



After waiting and waiting, I was not about to reschedule my appointment. We just walked out.
