Dr. Tekola is friendly, caring and compassionate physician. He is a good listener and his explanation and instruction are clear. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend his office to any patient seeking a primary care physician.

My name is Colleen. I have been a patient of Dr.Tekola for over 3 years. I have a medical condition that I see Dr. Tekola every 3 months. Dr.Tekola Is a wonderful doctor. I always have great doctor visits. He is always on time. I have never had to wait for an appointment. He is a very compassionate man. He always listens to my concerns. He never seems rushed, always taking the time to address my health issues.
I looked forward to my visits. Dr. Tekola is a kind man and always greets me wih a warm friendly smile.

This is the doctor Medi-cal assigned me too. I went for my first initial appointment. My appointment was at 2pm. I was the only Caucasian person there. The rest were Russian. This is a Russian doctors office.

Now I have no issues with Russian. My best friend for 13 years is Russian.

What I do have a problem with is the fact that he took all these walk in Russian patients, none of which were seriously or even mildly ill or hurt, before he took me. I had an appointment and was even there early. He didn't see me until the office emptied of all other Russian patients at 4pm.

I got ti the exam room. I just moved t o Sacramento and had not been to a doctor in over a year. I have asthma. I asked for a refill on my current prescription which was Xopenex. He refused to refill that. It has lower amounts of steroids in it. He instead would only refill with albuterol inhaler.
I also tried to explain that my feet are in a lot of pain. I am 200lbs and am 5 foot 3 inches. I know I,m over weight but i have never had an issue with my feet. They feel numb but it is the pins and needles numb even when I'm off of my feet and they are elevated. If I'm on my feet too long there is a painful stabbing and burning sensation in my left foot on the arch. Now i ware jell inserts in my shoes and am on my feet for 15-19 hours a day fir the last year. Reason being my husband was in a car accident. He is now at home but he us a C1 complete quadriplegic and on a ventilator 24/7 to keep him breathing. So I'm on my feet all day either caring for him or our autistic son. So no the pain is not because of my weight. But thus doctor would not listen to me.

He refused to do any thing or even look at my feet. Another patient walked in and all hes said to me was "loose weight" and "your inhaler has been faxed to the pharmacy." Then he left to go see the other patient and I was sent home.

Couple of days ago I was at the appointment with Doctor Tekola. he is very friendly and knowledgeable in his area of expertise. He is bilingual so I can talk to him better. He is very attentive and responds promptly. The wait times in the lobby are short.

Worst doctor in the world!!!!!!! He is extremely unprofessional and thinks his patients should be in pain I had a large bump behind my ear that was continuing to grow and he refused to give me a referral to the ear nose throat doctor it took me months of fighting with him to get the referral I have chronic ovarian cyst my obgny gave him the information and told him that I needed pain medication for them and since he was my primary doctor that he had to be the one to write the prescription doctor Tekola said that it was his choice not my obgny and that he wouldn't write me one the office staff is extremely RUDE I wouldn't refer anyone to his office

I would rate a zero if it allowed you to. This Dr is an idiot who just argues with his patient and does absolutely nothing useful and his professionalism is something to be desired. First I informed him I had bloodwork resultsblood work from lab showing I have high cholesterol and thru the roof triglycerides. I brought visit lab results to office and next visit I had to ask him, so he looks and says oh its not high. First last doc said it was high and second the lab results have their high and low values on results. Its in plain English that my cholesterol high and triglycerides thru the roof. How is this idiot going to lie to my face so that nothing gets resolved for my health. Another visit I went in for a possibe UTI, he did no urine sample he just prescribed antibiotics and sent me on my way. Last visit I went in for a sore throat so he breaks out the brightest flashlight app on his cell phone to look down my throat. UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST.

I have seen the doctor for over two years and believe he is caring and compassionate. He is intelligent, to the point and always advocate healthy life style. It hard to get a good doctor like him with with a Medical and Medicare insurance. He is very strict when it comes to prescribing pain medication. If you are looking for narcotics, that is not a place to go. It seems like he is overwhelmed by the patients seeking for drugs.

The cons; Hard to get appointment. If you need to be seen right away, ER or urgent cares are your best optios.

I'm going there and I will write a review. Sometimes Dr's get burnout. I do need a referral to physical therapy and I'd LOVE an MRI. Then I can properly manage my 10yr neck pain chiropractors won't touch. Even though I either sprained my back BAD or something is wrong because my body shook like it was in shock for the past 3 weeks and leftover morphine is really the only thing that helps. I doubt this doctor will even talk to me if I mention what my body doesn't like - tylonal even for a headache I won't take due to the rebound headache later, and it's in everything. Come on, time to create a drug that is anti-abusive and helps you function with degenerative disk disease. So far my rating is based on talking to office staff.

Very poor care in a hurry all the time will not listen to you ar give referrals to speacailests for anything due to that i got much sicker also flirted with a friends care giver and did not talk to my friend
