Richard A. Boothby, MD, is an assistant professor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.Dr. Boothby earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. After completing medical school, he pursued his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Jacksonville, Florida. Then, he completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.Dr. Boothby is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and gynecology oncology, by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served in many leadership positions throughout his extensive career and is a member of various organizations, such as the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society. Dr. Boothby has contributed to numerous publications, with his interests being in minimally invasive robotic radical surgery, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and sentinel lymph node mapping in gynecologic cancers.
