Disappointing! Since this store opened I have brought in numerous firearms through their FFL process. Unfortunately, with the limited supply of firearms around the country their wholesaler didn’t have some of the items I wanted and I had to order them from a different vendor and have this store do the FFL paperwork. When I made a recent purchase I discovered they raised their transfer fee from $50.00 to $75.00. I was told the price changed on Jan 1 this year. I accepted the price change since I didn’t ask what the “current” fee was when I called to check availability and put the money on the counter. For some unknown reason they began to offer additional explanations why the fee was increased. They explained that they increased the fee because I didn’t try to buy the item from them and I didn’t tell them the item was being shipped to them; both points are simply not true. As the discussion ensued they became angry and said that I and my family don’t buy enough other stuff from them so they raised the transfer fee. I explored this further with them and they said they are providing a “service” to the community. They went on to explain that they are frustrated by the FFL process and don’t want to do business with any FFL that won’t call and talk with them prior to shipping the firearm. Their proposed solution was to have their FFL information removed from all of the internet sites that sell firearms. During the course of this discussion they became increasingly upset and the conversation kept circling back to the how I don’t spend enough in their store. They became angry, told me to leave the store and that they don’t need my business or the business of anyone associated with me.
For me this wasn’t about the extra $25.00 as that was my issue since I didn’t ask when I called about purchasing the item. This was about helping a store see where they might want to soft sell the customers that they feel “don’t buy enough other stuff” in their store. The good news is they are not the only FFL around and the $500.00-$1,000.00 per year my family used to spend in their store will go to a different retailer that values their customers.

Provided by SuperpagesKevin knows what he is talking about, he isn't pushy and gives you the facts and lets you make the choice. It was a good experience. Besides I would rather help support the local guy then drive thirty minutes an any direction just to be disappointed. I suggest you at least give him a chance before you leave town to get what you need. I'm sure you will become a loyal customer as well! Andrew
