Blind-Drapery Cleaning-Repair

I had a problem with one of the two drapes in my living room: when I drew (opened up) this drape, some of the clips that attach this drape to the traverse rod popped off. As a result, this drape hung loosely from the rod, allowing unwanted sunlight and corresponding heat to enter our living room. There was no such problem with the matching drape attached to the other half of the traverse rod. I called this company two days ago and spoke with Sam. He and his assistant William came to my home the next day, that is, yesterday and examined the situation. I asked Sam if I needed a new heavy-duty traverse rod and he told me that I did not, that he could fix the problem without making me incur that unnecessary expense. He installed a new locking mechanism; this mechanism prevents the clips from popping out. He reattached the clips to the drape so that the drape hung properly. Since Sam had treated me cordially and charged me reasonably I was pleased ... but all too briefly. After Sam and William left I drew this drape and a bunch of clips popped out! I called Sam to complain and he surmised what must have happened: he had forgotten to lock the locking mechanism. His surmise turned out to be correct. Sam came to my home the very next day, that is today (Friday). He made a special trip from his home in Staten Island to my home in Brooklyn just for me, since he had scheduled no other work for today. Sam reattached the clips to the drape and this time made sure to lock the locking mechanism. He advised me not to pull this drape to its very end because it then contacts the locking mechanism and can trip it open. Sam explained that the reason there was never a problem with the other drape is that there is no locking mechanism on the other side of the traverse rod. The problematic drape is working smoothly now and once again I am pleased, this time hopefully for good.
