Health Insurance
Is there value in seeking out a local insurance agent anymore? With the internet shrinking the country and even the world down to a web of instantaneous connections, we can lose sight of the value of a local perspective. We can purchase coverage online from an agent in California as easily as from an agency down the street. But health insurance is different in every state. Sometimes vastly different. I’ve gotten calls from clients who have moved to other states and they need help with health insurance in their new state. I could do a little research and give them some options so as to make a commission, but if I have no base of knowledge in that state, they would be much better served with someone who has invested years understanding the trends in their home state.
