Onyx

I have been to Onyx a couple times. I have to say the first time I enjoyed my food however the service was pretty poor. My second experience with this place was a not so good one. I arrived at this place with a group of people around 8:45pm. We moved around tables and got settles in. Around 9ish the security came up to us asking if we were planning on staying to watch the band. We didn't realize they were having a band play so we said "sure" At that point he asked everyone for $15.00 a person. First if we were already in the bar before 9 we shouldnt have to pay. Second if you were charging for the band you should be charging ppl 1 hr or 1/2 hr before the band comes on which this band apparently was coming on at 9:00pm. Lastly $15,00 is quite high for seeing a band in Brentwood at a place like this. So at that time we asked to talk to the manager which Tonya the owner came out. As an owner of a restaurant she was sure just giving alot of attitude towards our group when we were asking simple questions. Our group at that time decided to just leave the place and go elsewhere. As we proceded to exit the restaurant she went "buh bye" with the bye gesture. Obviously as a business owner she doesn't understand the importance of treating customers with respect. She should know Brentwood is a small town and word does travel fast. I have already informed some of my friend from my experience and they will not try out this place anymore. The saddest part about this is that this place hasn't even been open for very long and I have already heard alot of negative things about it and mainly all about the owner.
