Hair Den

Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to get your hair and makeup done for your wedding. What a nightmare the Hair Den turned out to be for the following reasons:



1 - I was reprimanded immediately upon entering the salon - first thing in the morning on my wedding day because a couple of my bridesmaids were stuck at the gate trying to get into Breezy (thank you, security)



2 - I received neither the treatment nor the services I was promised and paid for. When I booked the Den for the morning of my wedding day, I had made it clear that I would pay for myself and 6 bridesmaids to have their hair done, meaning I would pay and tip the stylist whether or not the girls decided to get their hair done. The owner/manager promised me that we would have the salon to ourselves for the morning. Imagine my surprise when the place was crowded with strangers before my hair was even halfway done. Don't make promises you don't intend on keeping. I promised to pay and tip the stylists to do hair for 6 bridesmaids and myself whether or not they did the girls' hair and I kept my promise - the Hair Den; not so much.



3 - I probably could've done a better job myself with makeup. The makeup "artist" at the Hair Den (although very nice and genuinely trying to do a good job) was neither professionally trained nor certified to be a makeup artist. The drugstore eye shadow palette she used on me made it necessary to redo my eye makeup completely before I even went to the church. This was a year and a half ago (July 2010 - and yes, i'm still bothered by the treatment I received) so I'm kinda hoping she went to beauty school since then. The potential is there. Just not the training; or the necessary supplies.



To Summarize:



DO NOT GO TO THE HAIR DEN FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY HAIR AND MAKEUP UNLESS YOU ENJOY PAYING MONEY TO BE LIED TO AND B*TCHED AT ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
