Tom's Place - World Famous BBQ

Good ribs, but not ready for prime time.

The ribs are definitely the star of the show here, because there isn't much else to write home about. The restaurant ran out of cornbread, coleslaw and a few other items. No one knows how to answer a phone so they leave it off the hook, so there is a constant busy signal.

Service is slow and the decor looks like something straight out of the 1990's. They couldn't even get their door to work, so you had to enter through the mall.

We would go again if they got their act together, but you cannot simply live off your laurels. You could go to Mississippi Sweets and get ribs and chicken just about as good with better service and management that runs a smooth ship.

This location is permanently closed!!! This place WAS great when tom was still alive but since his passing his son ran it into the ground! The original 2 locations were in boca and because of his sons poor business decisions he had to relocate twice. Last time I checked they still have a food truck version. The food has always been amazing but since his passing they haven't been able to keep a permanent location for more than a few years. I called their number and it states they are open up a location on Atlantic Avenue in Delray in 2016! :( Really this isn't a movie trailer you don't need to advertise a year in advance for a restaurant. needless to say I will be finding a new barbecue place. its really sad that it has had to come to this for such a great bbq joint!

What a treat! BBQ FOR THE SOUL!!

I never thought that eating BBQ could be a religious experience... this place changed my mind. Do NOT pass up the opportunity to eat amazing food cooked by equally passionate and amazing people!
