Vaccination
Our primary goal is to prevent illness for your pet. Vaccinations and yearly exams are one way to keep up to date on your pet's health. We recommend keeping your pet's Distemper and Leptospirosis vaccines up to date, and don't forget, an updated Rabies vaccine is required by law for all pets over 6 months old. Since we understand that life can be busy, we will send reminders for wellness exams and vaccinations as they are needed!
Nutritional Counseling
Bondurant Animal Clinic has been in business since 2010. We offer small animal care including: exams, vaccinations, routine surgeries, and some diagnostics. We carry a range of Royal Canin food including: puppy/kitten, adult and senior foods as well as light/weight control, hypoallergenic, prescription diet and hairball foods. We have many varieties of flea, tick and heartworm prevention products available for any size of cat or dog. At Bondurant Animal Clinic, we pride ourselves in being able to provide quality care as well as quality products that we ourselves would use on our own pets.

During a dental prophylaxis procedure (the fancy way of saying "a teeth cleaning"), many steps are taken to ensure your pet will wake up with a healthier mouth. To get that extra clean feeling, we will ultrasonic scale the teeth. This removes all of the built up calculus and tartar, which can build a "shelf" for bacteria to sit and grow. This bacteria can cause infections and even abscesses, which if left untreated, can be associated with other serious health problems such as heart and kidney disease. After a thorough cleaning, we will then polish your pet's teeth with a special mint tooth paste, to help keep them clean and shiny. Dental radiographs will be taken of every tooth to help us see beneath the surface, where problems like to hide from the naked eye.

This being said with today's technology we have the advantages of saving you money by sending labwork packages off, just ask a staff member what these packages include. Although annual blood work is not required, we highly recommend it. Having annual blood work can give us a baseline of what is normal for your pet, so if problems arise, we can find a solution to better suite your pet's needs
