The firm of Stephen Griss Associates / Architecture was established in 1978 as a full service architectural design office to serve the building design needs of the regional area in the fields of commercial, institutional and residential construction. The firm concentrates on few projects at a time, devoting full attention to all clients and projects from the programming phase through the design, construction documents, bidding and construction phases. Projects have ranged in size from commercial and residential remodeling projects and additions to large research and development corporate office facilities. The firms specialties include commercial office buildings, space planning, restaurants, medical offices and private residential design. The design philosophy of the firm remains devoted to a balance of program requirements, contemporary concepts, creative design solutions, the use of economic construction techniques and contextual and environmental appropriateness.
