General Info: Founded in 1930, Bauer Elementary School is a learning center that provides a range of educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade four. It offers classes in reading, writing, math, English, science, computer technology, social studies, physical education, music and language arts. The school supplies various stationery items, such as pencils, glues, crayons, markers, tapes, pocket folders, pencil sharpeners, erasers, scissors, pens, rulers, notebooks and tissue boxes. It operates a parent-teacher association that serves as a resource for students, parents and staff. The school s staff includes counselors, nurses, librarians and speech therapists. It is a part of the Big Spring Independent School District, which operates through food service, maintenance, technology and transportation departments.
