In response to the above review: Mid Florida Pediatric Dentistry has a strict office policy that allows the legal guardian, a person designated in writing by legal guardian or court appointed guardian to review, sign and accept treatment rendered to a child.

If sedation is deemed necessary for the patient, this procedure is thoroughly discussed with the legal guardian and written consent obtained.

I. V. Sedation or any sedation in our office is administered by a licensed registered Pediatric Anesthesiologist ( Pediatric Dental Anesthesiology Associates.)

All medical history and any concerns are reviewed by the anesthesiologist prior to sedation.

Dr. Teddy Bland is a Florida licensed Dentist (DN17164) with a Masters in Child Development and Certification in Pediatric Dentistry.

Additionally, due to HIPPA regulations it is unlawful for any staff member to release medical information pertaining to a patient without a signed consent by the legal guardian.

I would not trust these people, they did extensive dental work on my 2 year old son without me knowing or my consent. While he was in Florida visiting his dad. They allowed the grand mother to bring him into the office and had him put to sleep for 5 hours. And my son has a heart mumur. That could have been very dangerous. And when I did find out about it I called the office and asked for the dental records. And Susan the office manager said that she could not give them to me because their office didn't do that. And anyone with any since knows that any parent has a right to their child's medical records. I don't even know if the dentist who did this has a license. So that being said I would not recommend this office.
