My sister and I went in to join Planet Fitness together. The assistant manager was helping us and explain the different plans, but then he was completely uninterested in us. My sister just moved from Illinois, so her bank had not been switched over and he was saying that he could only use the card that would be charged every month. I had to wrestles the information out of him that she could switch the card before the first payment. This is also probably a company policy, but they will only let you sign up for a year and I am not planning on living here for a year. The cancelation fee is $60. Which, personally, I think is crap. We both had heard really great things about joining and were really excited, but now we are looking at other options.

So i went and signed up for this gym and only went there a hand full of times then i went and moved so i called to cancel the account. When i was already 800 miles away they tell me i have to come into the store to cancel my membership. Or I could send in a paper saying i wanted to cancel it then pay the cancellation fee over the phone. At that time i had to wait for the cancellation fee cause they had to get the letter there first once i got the letter there i went to go cancel my account and noticed they had charged my card with the annual fee of 30 dollars when i knew nothing about this then i called and tried to get it back because i had asked them if any more money would come out of my account and he told me no. So he wont own up to his own words. He is a liar. Then he proceeds to tell me i have to come in to pay the 60 dollar cancellation fee when he himself told me i could pay it over the phone. Finally for some reason i said i want to pay the cancellation fee over the phone NOW. For some reason that got his attention and he canceled my account. But still took my 30 dollars he forgot to tell me was going to come out of my account on the 25th. Finally all i need people to know is this gym is a joke and they will lie to you he sat there and told me i couldn't cancel my account and then did it over the phone right there so i hope this helps people. This gym seems all nice and stuff then when u need to cancel they are agents everything they have just told you on the phone so from someone who has been there done that go to a different gym this place is not worth it at all. THE WORST GYM OUT THERE POSSIBLE. Go to Worlds gym they are amazing and if you move and can prove a new address over i think 50 miles they will cancel it no questions ask.
