Same experience as others. The woman, Dottie who "runs" the place is downright rude and nasty. Brought in a vac to be repaired. Had dropped it and the wand would no longer engage the beater bar attachment. She immediately began to tell me how cheap my vac was, that it wasn't really an Electrolux but actually Eureka parts. I stopped her and told her I owned three of them and that all had worked excellently for the year in which I owned them. I explained I wanted a quote to repair the wand and that I wanted them to see if it needed any filters or belts while they had it. She asked me if I wanted a tune up and I said no. It was only a little over a year old and was my third floor vac so it was rarely used. Two weeks later, I finally get a call and they tell me it has been repaired and that is it $120. I asked where my quote was and why I never got a call with the estimate. I was told I would hear back from the owner. Next day the owner calls and says she has the estimate. I inform her that I was told yesterday that the repairs were already done and the unit was ready for pick up. She states that's impossible since they don't stock the parts and don't order til approved by customer. I give name of person and time they called they day before. Now she discovers that they DID already repair it and gave it a full tune up hence the inflated price. I tell her I will not pay for the full tune up as it should not have needed it nor was it approved. She informs me they will keep my vac instead. DONT EVEN CONSIDER GOING HERE!!! They are crooks and incredibly rude. The owner is a nasty old biddy who has no place being in customer service.

Worst repair shop ever. Rude, ...

Worst repair shop ever. Rude, dishonest and disrespectful. This is the worst sew and vac center I have ever dealt with. They outright lied to me.

Take your business elsewhere!!

I wrote the above review, before I even got my machine back, because I was horrified by the way I was treated over the phone. I dropped my working sewing machine off at the store to have a light and a thread spindle fixed. They told me it HAD to be serviced, so I agreed. Also told them I needed the machine quickly.....not a problem..... I called 2 days later just before closing to be rudely told it would be 9 days and no one would EVER have promised it sooner and the machine had not even been looked at. The conversation quickly turned to them yelling at me. This was very upsetting and that is when I wrote the first review. I called the next morning and told them I was coming to pick up the machine only to be told the machine was apart and I could not get it..... Just the night before it hadn't been looked at? WHAT???? More rudeness and yelling from them when I questioned this...

3 or 4 hours later, they called to tell me my machine was ready for pick up!!!! I was dumbfounded! A few days later, after returning to my home in NY, I tried the machine. After stepping on the presser foot for 20-30 seconds, the needle went up and down about 6-8 times and then stopped!!!! Now Nothing.... The machine is dead.... I took it to another repair shop in NY and am waiting to hear if it can be salvaged. This is catastrophic because I make a living sewing and now don't have a machine. Just wanted you to hear my side of the story. I am no scam artist, just an unhappy consumer who wants to save other consumers this same fate. The big mistake was mine by taking my machine to Marion's.....

This customer is a scam artist. She brought an old machine in for repair. She called eveyday after she dropped it off to see if it was done. She said she was just visiting and was returning home. We rushed the repair, she picked it up and we accepted an out of state check.(A big mistake on our part.) She stopped payment on the check. We had to make several phone calls to her home before she finally contacted us. She said the machine only took a few stitches and then stopped. The repair came with a 30 day warranty, but she never called to say she was having a problem. I don't think she intended to pay for the repair and now she's giving us bad reviews. We strive to make our customers happy but you always have that one person that no matter what you do they'll never be happy.
