American Fence and Stain

If I could give this company a higher rating, I definitely would! After researching many fence companies, my husband and I decided on American Fence and Stain. It was obvious when we initially met Chyler, he was professional, knowledgeable and took pride in delivering excellent service. He answered all our questions and we could tell he knew what he was doing. Emails were always answered promptly and installation was done on time. Thank you American Fence and Stain for making our three dogs very happy!!

Chyler's team was very friendly. I requested simply that my driveway gate be relocated and the opening closed. He was able to use my fencing to close the opening and gave me 2 new posts to hang my gate. He stated in the estimate that it would be very labor intensive and needed 6 - 8 hours for $1,200. Pretty expensive but of the 3 fencing companies he was the only one available for months. He requested $800 down and $400 on completion. The job took 2 hours, was perfect & I paid; but then realized it was not labor intensive and I surely must have over paid. He emailed me a receipt upon my request stating "labor, materials & haul away = $450; and Business Tax, Employee Fringe, Net Profit and Business Operating Expense was $750." I requested the money returned for the erroneous hidden taxes and fees but was instead mocked and given a screenshot of the Beaufort County Courthouse to file a civil suit. Maybe because I am a single African American woman and new to the Beaufort area, I was treated quite differently than these five star reviewers but I will file my case in the morning for the return of my funds. I will not be taken advantage just because the need for fencing exceeds the available fencing contractors. It's price gouging. Excellent work, horrible pricing and ethics.

The American Fence and Stain crew are incredibly skilled, personable, and professional. They really care about doing high quality work and customer satisfaction, and it shows!

From the beginning, they didn't try to "sell" us on anything, but answered all our questions and provided recommendations when needed. Chyler is very detailed and thorough, providing regular updates and asking questions to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. They even helped us recover our dog after she hopped over our previous chain link fence.

The whole project, which included tearing down our old chain link fence, clearing out brush and small trees, and installing an entrenched, wooden privacy fence and 2 gates, was completed within 7 days of contacting American Fence and Stain and looks great! They even built us a custom pull-up bar!

These guys do high quality work for a great price, and we'd definitely work with them again!
