Hair World

Today, was my first time in this store. I recently relocated to Bear, De. I had previously found a hair store closer to my home with very nice employees, but not a large hair selection. I kept searching until I found Hair World via google and noticed it has larger hair selection. However, when I enter the store there were 2 or 3 employees chit chatting. No one greeted me so I proceed to walk towards the hair. I was in the store for a while and no one came to check to see if I was finding what I needed. There was only one other customer in the store so they were not busy. I saw a asian man and asked for his help, but he led me to one of his employees for assistance. I showed her a pack of hair on my phone and asked if they carried this particular hair and she said they did not. I asked if she had anything similar. She immediately began walking quickly down the aisle pointing at different hair then walked back to the front of the store so she could finish chatting with the other 2 coworkers. Regretfully, after spending another 10 min roaming the store I decided on getting 5 packs of hair that I found on my own. I walk towards the front of the store to the same young lady and I asked if she had any more of the hair type and color in the back. She abruptly said what I see is what I get. I will NEVER return to this store no matter how much hair supply they have. They are rude and unprofessional. I rather spend my money with the first small hair store I found. At least they are always friendly and helpful. I Do NOT recommend this hair store.

Very nice people. Friendly workers and i'm even pleased with the owner. Once I had to return an item and the owner had every right to deny my refund ( because I missed the deadline) but she didn't. She gave me my refund back and I will never forget it. In fact, I hope that she'll read this review and know that she gained herself a loyal customer because of it. I'll identify myself the next tine that I come in -which will be soon :)

To my displeasure I was told "I don't mean to be offensive, but the texture (of the hair on a wig) is like what your hair is naturally like....coarse" If you think you are going to say something offensive, the best thing to do is not say it. With my hair fully covered under a hat, how one makes assumptions and stereotypes is pure ignorance. I kindly told her I have an Indian background, and not all hair texture is the same. I can not understand how one addresses African American clientele with "not to be offensive" when your store has a predominate African American clientele. I highly recommend finding another hair store in this area. I am new to the area I will do my best without this establishment. As I proceeded to buy something else, I was watched to see what I was doing. So, I kindly placed my items back on the shelf so I could be watched getting into my luxury car (this was my intention). I highly recommend finding another location to do business. I know this Dr. will.
