Wheeler's Campground

No surprise, the State Camp Ground was sold out for our last minute vacation planning. Our family of six, tented at Wheeler this past weekend and have become Wheeler fans!

A playground, clean shower/bath house, ample store with supplies all within a 3-5 minute walk of our tent site.

The site we chose, we were allowed to drive around and choose just the right one, was wooded, secluded and bordered by a stream. We did not take advantage of the "fishing pond".

We spent Saturday in Devil's Lake State park, a 5 minute drive, swimming, canoeing and climbing.

We also enjoyed horseback riding in the Dells.

We did forget a few things and were seemingly right around the block from Farm & Fleet . . . for you forgetful, throw everything in the car at the last minute, campers!

Don't reserve a site at Devil's Lake, go here, you won't regret it.

Nice sites wooded and open. Clean bathroom. Close to Devils Lake State Park If You don't break the rules the only time you will see the owners is at checkin. Im making Wheelers my place to stay when I go to Devils Lake.
