Special Interest In: Calcium disorders, osteoporosis, pituitary disease and thyroid disease in pregnancy.Dr. Silpasuvan received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Sinai in 2011, Dr. Silpasuvan was a clinical endocrinologist at Clinical Care Associates of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital System in Philadelphia.While his specialty is in internal medicine, his sub-specialty focus is in endocrinology and metabolism. Included in this far-reaching field are the study and treatment of thyroid disease and diabetes. Dr. Silpasuvan is especially interested in treating patients who have calcium disorders, osteoporosis, pituitary disease and women who develop thyroid disease during pregnancy. Dr. Silpasuvan is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He is certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and is a member of Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
