This is my company and they have my listing completely messed up. we are not closed. Some of the reviews are ours some are not. Please ask. We have references available. We are on Burnet road and not Dillard. the phone number is 512-374-9640. I have tried to edit this many times and have not received any responses from YP and they have never accepted the changes to our account when I have tried to suggest a edit. This is one more reason to use caution when you use an online review forum of any kind. They do not care unless they are getting paid.

Please learn from my mistake and stay as far away from this place as humanly possible. This was one of the most frustrating and dysfunctional experiences of my life due to the negligence of Chris P. at Texas Flooring Company and the contractors that work for them. This project started in Apr2014 and is still not complete. I continue to try to resolve these issues with Texas Flooring Company but it appears they have no interest in completing the work that I have already paid for (e.g.-they stopped responding to my emails in May2014).

We chose Texas Flooring Company because they completed a project for some friends of ours in 2012 that seemed to go well. I get the impression that the quality of contractors working for Texas Flooring Company has declined significantly in the last couple of years. The contractors noted below were juggling multiple projects for Texas Flooring Company while struggling to complete mine. Moreover, from what they told me, the other installation projects they were working on were also having issues which likely contributed to the poor quality and significant delays in my project.

It is only fair to note that the customer service and salesmanship up to the point that the work began was fantastic; as noted in the other reviews on Yelp, Chris P. is an excellent salesman who was very patient, accommodating and seemed knowledgeable. However, once the installation of my 800 sqft of tile and 1100 sqft of engineered hardwood flooring began, things took a disappointing turn for the worse. My only expectations for this project were 1) that the crews hired by Texas Flooring Company to install my flooring would be managed by Chis P. and Texas Flooring Company, 2) the work would be completed in "workmanlike manner according to standard practices" as outlined in my contract and 3) the contractors would follow the manufactures installation instructions. Unfortunately, they failed to meet all of what I believe are quite reasonable expectations.

In short, due to the poor quality contractors currently working for Texas Flooring Company, I have invested over $15,000 in a flooring disaster, literally a nightmare come true. Issues include: visible gaps between planks of engineered wood flooring (see pictures), visible glue (still) on the surface of my wood flooring, uneven/non-level tiles, multi-colored grout and chipping grout (with holes in grout that are getting worse every week). There are numerous other issues but have focused on the most egregious issues in this post and will provide additional details in a future update.

The wood flooring described above was improperly installed by Joe (or Joel) and he and his crew drive a white full-size van with a flood light on the roof. The tile was improperly installed by Miguel and he drives either a white 2500 Chevy pickup or a blue and silver Ford Ranger. All of the issues that are noted above are the result of these contractors not following industry standards and manufacturer installation instructions and the root cause of this negligence is that the flooring contractors who work for Chris P. at Texas Flooring Company know that he is not going to check their work, manage the quality of their work or hold them accountable when they rush to make quick $$$ and ruin a $15,000 project.

Buyer Beware!

Met the owner during the sales process and he seemed professional and nice, but as the last person stated, that all changed after they received my money. The saleswoman I worked with was horrible! Did not place the order correctly and would not get back with me to discuss the issue. She didn't order enough for the transitions and didn't order the upgraded padding I paid for. I probably wouldn't have known about the padding if I hadn't come home during the installation and discovered it myself. The owner also overpromised the durability of the overpriced, hand-scraped laminate flooring I purchased. He said it was much more durable than real wood and that I could drop anything "but a microwave on it without scratching it" however it was scratched before the guys finished the installation. To make matters worse, the installer who worked for them told me I overpaid for my flooring and should have gone to another store. There isn't enough space here to explain everything that went wrong, but I eventually asked them to leave before the job was complete and had to pay someone else to come in and paint/install the baseboards. I would never use or recommend this company to anyone!
