First of all, I haven't been to the dentist in 4 years and I was nervous to see a new dentist. From the first call to the office, they were very welcoming and I felt that they truly cared about me and my dental needs. Dr. Scarborough was amazing. She was extremely informative and I felt that nervousness go away. Margaret, my hygienist, was excellent! I could keep going on and on........ This is a TOP NOTCH Office and I'd recommend it to all of my friends, family and co-workers.

This is the nicest dentist office I have been too. I felt relaxed and well taken care of from start to finish. Everyone is very nice. Dr. Hawthorne is reassuring, calming and aims to please. The hygienist is gentle. I will return for future appointments.

I cant recommend this office in any way. I went to this office a little over a year ago now to be told I needed a special deep cleaning. After they contacted my insurance to verify they would cover it I scheduled an appointment. I guess its partially my fault for not asking but I was not informed of the charges for my portion until after the cleaning was completed. Then treatment was just over $1700 and my insurance would only cover $900 of it. I was offered the option to pay up front to save 10%. Given I was not expecting this type of expense in the first place I opted to pay for the entire thing up front and get reimbursement from my insurance. Well just over a month goes by and my insurance denies the claim. Turns out it would have been no problem getting it approved if the cleaning had been done 2 days later. I would have thought this would have been something they verified when they called insurance to get a pre approval on the procedure. Roughly 6 months later and probably a dozen calls to my insurance and another dozen to Steiner ranch Dental I finally received my re reimbursement. I believe since Steiner Dental had already been paid they were in no hurry to get me my money back. I hoped for the best and continued to go there for a follow up cleaning. The first one went as planned. The second one I got stuck in traffic on my way to the office. I arrived late and the technician completed a partial cleaning. She informed my Dorris who was on vacation would be contacting me to set up an appointment to complete the cleaning. After a few weeks of never hearing back from the office I called them and was told I would get a call back to schedule an appointment. Yet again I never received a return call but I did receive a bill for the full cleaning. I called to dispute charge with the office and was told I received a full cleaning so the charge was correct. I asked if I received a full cleaning then why was I told I would be getting a call to set up an appointment to complete the cleaning? After several more e-mails or phone calls that were never responded to or even given false information on I decided to take my business elsewhere. Not only did I find a dentist office that did return my phone calls and they were even out of network just like Steiner yet their co pay was less than 25% what Steiner was charging me. I could understand the 400% premium if the service was 400% better but it was far from it.
