Villa Europa

i'VE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS, AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISSAPOINTED. I'TS WHERE I CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY EVEY YEAR, AND HAVE BEEN DOING THIS AT LEAST SINCE THE MID 80'S. bUT MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN LOYAL CUSTOMERS SINCE THEY FIRST OPENED THEIR DOORS IN THE LATE 60'S OR EARLY 70'S. THEIR NAME MAY HAVE CHANGED FROM PIZZA VILLA, TO ROMAN VILLA TO THE NAME THEY HAVE TODAY OF VILLA EUROPA, BUT THE QUALIY AND TASTE OF THE FOOD IS JUST AS GOOD AS IT WAS WHEN THEY FIRST OPENED UP.

I normally really like this place, so I have no idea what happened today. Our server was really upset with us from the start. We had an extra chair at our table and we told her we didn't need it. The response was, "Well we don't have anywhere to put it so it'll just stay there."



Uhh.. okay..



We weren't planning on ordering our meals until after we ordered our appetizer. We ordered the appetizer and she stood there and asked what our meals would be. I guess our server was planning on putting both orders in the kitchen at the same time? We asked "Will the appetizer come at the same time as the meal if it's put in at the same time?" This REALLY offended her because she looked at us with disgust, scoffed, and said, "Oh come ON, that's a rookie question!" She stomped off, punched the appetizer in, and came back and said, "Okay NOW are you ready to order?"



We left. No one wants to be spoken to that way.

Growing up with a German mother, I was fortunate to enjoy the German dishes she prepared. Villa Europa has some of the tastiest schnitzel and I've never had anything there I didn't enjoy.

My now husband of 5 years and father of our 2 children went there about 3 times a month while we were dating. We had our rehearsal dinner there, went with my late grandmother to Octoberfest, won the panty-dance (our pictures are up in the wall in the bar area for 2004), and still go there to celebrate for many occassions. Perfect for a family dinner or an ambiance for a romantic dinner for two. I LOVE this place, their food, atmosphere, and staff! I know you will too!

I still have friends I made at Villa Europa, way back when they were still called Pizza Villa and Roman Villa over 25 years ago. I even married one of them, and now our kids are taking their kids. I guess you could say they are our extended family; although, we are now glad to go without any kids tagging along. Thanks for being there to reward us on our good days, and nurture us on the bad ones.

The food is just a bonus to the great people working there. Karin remembers my favorite drink (Cosmo), how I like my steak cooked and even to leave off the herb butter. Somehow she even knows when I have had an especially bad day and need a second drink. The cute young guys treat me like a queen-especially Richard. Helene, Tracy and Margaret are all great. Can you tell I have going there for years.... even though I have moved over 20 miles away? I am a loyal fan.
