I've been doing business with them forever, at least 40 years or more. and it's come full circle. and going to atlanta and get 40% off is over.the most will ever get now is 15% with at least a purchase of 300.00 or more. Jay's will give a serious buyer a better deal than that if you're a serious buyer. No someone calling on the phone and saying you can get something cheaper, what would you sell me one for less is not going to be taken seriously.. That's nonsense and that's gone. Do that on trade magazine, but a store is made of brick and mortar and are competing with the internet. The people who send stuff back to internet companies w/n so many days, get a guitar back that's been gutted ,all the good stuff taken out of them and off them. You're sure of getting quality products when you buy a new one at Jay's.When you go into a music store you can make an informed decision, see how the guitar plays, how it sounds.how the neck plays. Jays is a family run business, not people you see one week and then they go somewhere else to work. Once you build a business with them, you'll get the best prices in town for really quality intruments.

I've done business with Jay's for years going back to when they were downtown before moving to Washington Road! They have "ALWAYS" treated me and my family with the utmost respect and kindness! I read some of the other reviews and I'm trying to figure out who they are talking about! Knowing Doug and Vera for as long as I have I'm thinking it may have went sideways on the customer's part and not them! The Bible says a good name is worth more than silver and gold that's Jay's! As far as price they have always given me a discounted sales price! And I too rented a band instrument from them for my son who plays drums sax and trumpet and I was floored when they told me how much it was going to be compared to what the school and other music stores was asking to rent ! The rental price was so low I was like,"YES WE CAN"! Since I've known them for so long I really consider them family though they are Caucasian (white) and I am Negro (black)! You can't find better people! Lastly I will say that the Bible says to tell a lie on someone else is the same as committing murder or killing them! Proof positive if you lie on someone and ruin their reputation and they lose their livelihood then......!!!!!!!!!!

The place is a mess when you walk in - it looks like it's been ransacked. I've been in there twice this year, and both times everyone there is so unfriendly. How is this business still around?? I won't be back again!

Have been buying there for over 30 years.
I was ordering parts there today when the owner walked over and got mad because i bought my last amp someware else at a better price. She then told me she would not order me any more parts for me. They can order FENDER parts.
I will never shop there again. Please shop someware else.

I called up to this store earlier this week to inquire about an instrument for my daughter's band class, and when I asked about pricing, WOW was the guy rude! I couldn't believe how unfriendly he was - and he claimed to be the owner!! He made me feel like I was actually inconveniencing him by wanting to buy something. I like to support local businesses whenever possible, but I'd rather buy online then deal with this guy. No thanks.

I too have been shopping there for a long time, and very pleased with everything I've gotten. I wonder if the negative reviewer had bothered to ask them to match the "cheaper" price he got on his amp.......I bet they would have for a good customer. Or , maybe he's not such a good customer, and instead a real pain in the amp?
