Milestones Learning Center

The worst daycare I have ever seen, they have no experience at all! They hire teachers who are just students and they have no experience to deal with children. The manager of the daycare is really rude. Everyday they just complain about my child and when I ask the teacher and manager what should I do with him according to their experience with kids, they don’t know the answer and they say we don’t know. Avoid this place, your child is not going to be treated well as a child, they will treat him as an adult not a child. Trust me this place is not the right one.

This is a long overdue post I should have done 6 months ago. My husband and I are both faculty at Auburn University. Our then 2.5 year old son started in Milestone in late fall 2015. On the Friday 01/08/2016 , the teacher called us that our son fell from a high place and smashed his face onto the window sill in the big play room. It was horrifying to see my son's injured face and I was devastated! My son's one front tooth was knocked out with another tooth being badly knocked out of place. Two layers of his clothes were soaked with blood. His lower lip got penetrated by teeth and had two gapping cuts there. I requested to see the video for the incident, but was told the camera was not working! I filed report at both police and AL DHR. Please stay away from this dangerous daycare! At least I witnessed once that toddlers were running far in big play room while teachers were sitting at corner chatting to each other. There is no way they could reach the kids immediately!

I moved to Auburn, AL last year. I put my daughter into Milestones and it was awful. She was two. They use the furniture to rope them off like cattle, they are ALWAYS on their phones texting and not interacting with the children, and the place is so loud and lacks that special love and care. The final straw was when I pulled up and could see a small boy getting his face smashing into the great room window repeatedly while their teacher was texting in the corner. I walked into my daughter's room and she looked terrified because the place is so loud. I took her to Growing Room after that and it's so much better. As a first time daycare, you may not know, but as a mom who's had her child in a few daycare facilities....this is by far the worst one I've been too. She lasted a total of 8 days. Disorganized, loud, and generally act like they do not care. So thankful to be out of there.

My daughter just turned one and she has been going to Milestone. I was a stay at home mom for most of the time. So it was going to be hard for us to transition into work and school. Milestone's staff helped in the transition not only for my daughter but for me. They have phones in every room, so I could call to check up anytime and speak with her care takers. THe atomsphere is a great one. I like the protection screenging that they do to even enter the building. I suggest this daycare to everyone. They are wonderful. PLUS they are pretty new to the area!
