Crappyliving

Why is this what I call crppy living may ask well i'll make list for you

•when the hot water heater in the apt. Above me busted it took them over five weeks to fix it even though I was told that it would be fixed the following night. A week later when I came back from

Vacation I walked into an apt. Full of mild mildew a maggots. All of the food in my refrigerator spoiled because they had came in and turned the power off and left it that way the whole time I was gone. After I spent over $600 staying in a hotel and over $200 re-buying food. Due to the fact that I couldn't stay in my apt. Not to mention five months pregnant. All they reimburse me was $127

•the parking lot is tore all to hell from them having the trees cut down and instead of them letting the fall on the grass they let them fall on the parking lot

• I have had people come into my apt. Unannounced

•some stays in the vacant apt. Next to mine at night

•we've under new management three time (still no good)

•many people move out without notice due to on going problems that fail to be fixed.

•even after going tithe office everyday with my problem for five weeks it still did not get fixed until I called code enforcement and threaten to call fox five news

•••• if any one would just spend one day in our rent office I garuantee you hear no less then 15 complaints a day

DO NOT MOVE HERE

Where do I begin, I moved here in 2008 between then and 2011 everything was fine I had a plumbing issue which the toilet and tub would fill up with whatever was in the pipes, it happened multiple times and it went into the carpet now for a problem like that I would think you work rather quickly but but me and my husband had to spend a weekend with the carpet wet with the bathroom water, as far as getting things done they are very slow and take their time. Now fast forward they moved us into a 2 bedroom for the same price as a 1 which was great! I've seen people move in and out really quick they can never keep tenants which makes me wonder... They leave these abandoned empty apts unlocked why? Don't know. and people who don't even live here are occupying them after hours... Now for some one who come home at night from work it scares the crap out of me to see some one coming out of an apt who don't live there that's a safety issue...also the new management which since I've been here there has been 3 switches for new management so this current one actually LOST my lease (what apt does that) and made me sign a new one adding 2 more months to my original lease so I could've moved out in October instead it's December. I told her what if I don't want to sign because that's not fair she told me then $150 will be added to my rent.. Is that fair? They are remodeling which is good but they are half assing everything... They come and throw all this trash and crap out of these empty apts and leave it there I live In The M Building if your reading this just take a ride over here and see what it look like it looks abandoned and tore up.. But I actually live here...I'm embarrassed to have company over because of what it look like on the outside.... In the end this is the cheapest place in town I guess you get what you pay for... Read a lot of reviews about this place before you move in. Good Luck.

I've lived at Oaks on the River for over a year now and I must say the changes taking place are good, but taking a while. When I first moved here the property wasn't all that great but about 6 months ago owners changed and things have been in better order since. The construction for renovations can be frustrating at times, but it will be worth it in the end because of the improvements. I'm happy I chose to renew my lease and I'm sure I'll do the same next year!

The new management company has already made a lot of improvements on these apartments. The new renovated apartments look fantastic! After having a tour and hearing about all the great property additions and improvements I am excited to see the end results. The fitness center is being expanded and they are adding a Wi-Fi café and a tanning salon. There is a dog park in the works as well! The old basketball courts are getting a face lift with new surfacing as a mulit-use sport court for soccer and basketball. They are also getting their 2nd pool up and running which will have a cabana area! The community centered atmosphere is very welcoming and the property manager was extremely helpful and greeted me with a smile and offered me coffee. The office staff went above and beyond to help find me the perfect apartment that suited my needs within my price range. I would recommend these apartments to my friends and I look forward to seeing the finished product after renovations are complete.
