Golden Taxi

Golden Taxi was professional, courteous, and prompt. I set up transportation for a client and they were at the location in ten minutes. It was $10 for a 2 mile drive. Client was not asked for additional cash or fees and the driver was kind to her.

they are unprofessional the guy that answered the phone sounded like he was half asleep and i had just woke him up but, it was 5 pm. they say they are 24 hours but they are not. Made an appointment to be picked up at 5:30 in the morning for work and they never showed up. When i called to find out where my taxi was they said they don't start till 7 am. So why did they take a 5:30 am appointment!? Don't bother calling these guys if you want to get somewhere on time.

I am currently still waiting on my taxi after calling for it at 2:35 today. IT IS NOW 3:42 and I'm almost an hour late for work. Every time I call the driver he gives a longer wait time on his arrival. Worst taxi service ever. Only reason I took it was because my Uber wasn't working. If you can, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Students at UGA in Athens GA should beware of Golden Taxi. My daughter and some of her friends recently rode in this taxi and were put in a dangerous position as the driver picked up relatives and friends of his who had been drinking and had an open container. They stole my daughter's cell phone hit another one of her friends who still has bruises and took 70 dollars for very short ride and told them to get the fxxx out. He sped off with the taxi doors open.

This Golden taxi service is a joke! I have been waiting over an hour for them to show up. When they got hear told me there was a pick up fee for $40. Then they was trying to charge me another $55 just to drive me 3.6 miles. I couldn't believe they wanted $95$ .I told them they're out of their minds. I dont recommend this taxi service to anyone. Someone needs to put a stop to this highway robbery

I was in the taxi for a total of 16 minutes and was charged $35. I had to text the driver my address for him to find me. Very unprofessional. Would give less than a star if I could.

I work where I am constantly dealing with the local cab drivers and there is one from Golden taxi that we had to ban from our store. Now we deal with him harassing us when we are off. The man is unstable. On two occasions I have had customers get dropped off just to call a different taxi company. Since no one at Golden Taxi seems to care there really isn't anything left for me to do. I don't feel safe with this guy on the streets.

These crooks tried to charge me $100 to go 5 miles. Good thing they were 18 miles away when they told me how much. Keep calling till find and american on the other end

I try to be realistic and understanding with people in any job, since we live in a stressful, fast-paced world. I used this company about eight times over the course of about 6 months. Living out in the country, without a vehicle, I tend to wisely choose my trips to town.



Although I am country, by vehicle, I am only a 5 min drive (5.9 miles) from where I pick up supplies and about 10 minutes from the bank. All my trips were round trips, which meant income for the taxi company. I am not a rich person, but I am gladly willing to pay for the service.



Golden Taxi always sent the same man and I wondered if he was the only taxi driver. Every single time the man (his name was Terry) picked me up (from the very first trip), he complained.



He complained because I lived so far away; or if I chose a day it was raining; or if it was the end of the month or the beginning of the month. The very last time I rode with him (I am not returning to their service), he complained because I woke him up from a nap.



Typically, I went to the bank and a store on the way home to pick up emergency supplies. I know the store inside out and would be quick as possible, even though he made it very clear about charging for his wait time. Understandable-no problem!



But every single time, he complained. "Waiting for you isnt putting bread and butter on my table!" - "I'm not your chauffeur!" - "I have better things to do than to drive you around" - the list goes on.

The last time I was 10 minutes (trying my best to hurry, but wait at cashier)...thought 10 minutes was good, he charged me $8 extra. That isn't what I minded, it was his constant complaining and making one feel guilty for taking a taxi.



He constantly changed the fare price. If the dispatcher said one price, he always added to it, explaining how 'far' I am. Well, if I make the same basic trip all the time, say to the bank and the stop at the same store, it should pretty much be the same price - if a couple bucks extra for wait, ok, but not $22 one time and $35 another and $40 another for the EXACT SAME ROUTE!



The last time I had enough and told him that all he ever did was complain and make a person feel bad for hiring a taxi (usually I was quiet and just took his BS). I am guilty of calling him a 'miserable bas**d' becuz I'd had enough of his verbal abuse. He called me crazy and said the dispatcher knew I was crazy too.



I sure miss Your Cab. The men were gentlemen (I usually had different drivers). They never complained, were pleasant but sadly, the business (after 50 yrs) is gone. If you want a rude driver who BS's the dispatcher, and charges randomly; if u want to feel guilty for giving them ur business, go ahead - call them....



Just make sure u don't live too far from town; or call on a rainy day, or at the end of month or first of month and make sure ur ready to pay whatever Terry feels like charging that day...

Terrible service! Strange pricing!
