The first time I met Janete was when I had my head burned by another hair stylist in Astoria. My hair was completely burnt as well. She took time in fixing my hair and it took a lot of patience but the result was superb. I have been going to Janete for 9 years now even before she opened her own salon and thankfully she did. She has loyal clients for years that worship her. I highly recommend the salon. Janete is the best hair stylist in New York.

I remember walking into Janete's for the first time, after it had been recommended to me, and instantly feeling comfortable. I I had a colleague who had the most natural looking blond hair. I had always assumed she was a blond and asked her who was the blond in her family, mom or dad. She said her hair stylist Janete had created that color. I was not satisfied with the color I had been getting at my current salon and decided to try Janete's. I believe I have stayed with this salon for 4 years now. They are so friendly and professional. I love my color each and every time. The cut is always flattering. I don't mind paying what I pay because I am getting quality and I am always more than satisfied.

I have been seeing Janete since she opened the Astoria Studio 6 years ago. I will admit to making the mistake of getting my hair cut somewhere else after seeing Janete for 6 months. I never made that mistake again.



Janete's salon is clean, professional and extremely personalized. Each customer receives an amazing amount of individual attention and no two clients will ever leave her studio with the same cookie cutter hair cut or color. I often think she has an amazing gift for finding the most natural and elegant look for everyone that walks through her door. This is not just a job for her; she has an exceptional gift for the art of hair styling and stays well-versed in the latest updates in the industry.



Moreover, she expects and receives the same level of professionalism from her staff. They are always extremely courteous and professional and it is a pleasure to spend time in the salon.
