        I am not happy with the counte...

        I am not happy with the countertop received from Marble Max. They are taking no action to address my issue. I ordered a 27sf bar countertop and received a good price estimate. When the salesman came for the final measurement he insisted he needed another 10% above the estimate because he needed to hire additional labor for delivery of such a big piece. On the day of delivery the added help did not show. Once installed I pointed out a fissure along one corner of the surface. It is visible to the naked eye, catches a fingernail when rubbed across it, and does not take a sheen when polishing, Ali says it is natural to the stone and there is nothing he can do. Everyone that has looked at the countertop has pointed out the imperfection without prompting. A kitchen installer that lives in the neighborhood says it is a bad stone. I would not recommend Marble Max. I have not made final payment until something is done to repair or replace the countertop.
