Overall

I was finally getting established after being referred here, for my Bella who has Cushing's disease, and thyroid issues. we had been there many times this last year, money is not a concern for me when it comes to my furbaby... but we couldn't get in around Thanksgiving, because they were busy, and Bella was sick, she was coughing alot, and had bubbles and congestion coming out of her nose. I was told to give her Robetussin cough syrup, which my dog had a severe allergic reaction to, and sent us to the emergency room. we had a follow up appt., right after Christmas, and was anxious to get her in, as the allergic reaction had inflamed her throat further, and we had finished all the steroids and antihistamine, and she still was coughing, only worse. Our 830am appt morning, we woke up to a snow storm. I live alone, so I called to let them know id be running late, but after clearing out my car, and driving 25 minutes into the 45 minute drive I need to do to get there, I realized that my mini cooper was not safe on those back roads that weren't plowed yet! I made a decision to turn around and just try to get home, so I called and told them I was not able to get there. I made 2 calls, before my scheduled time, to communicate my situation, and thought they would understand the next time I tried to schedule, they wanted me to PRE PAY for my appt., because they say I no showed. how do you even know what to pre pay on a vet bill, that ranges from 100 to 300$?! no acknowledgement of the allergic reaction to meds they prescribed, and no concern for my dog. it's unfortunate, because I liked Sarah, and felt with my girl, being established is important, and she still needed care after the swelling in her throat from the cough syrup. we waited a month to finally get in somewhere else, and I'm offended that my dog wasn't a concern, and just the money was. Which btw, I've ALWAYS PAID IN FULL AT TIME OF SERVICE. ekkkkk... thanks.

I would recommend Dr Sarah and all her staff at the Antigo Veterinary Clinic. They are genuinely concerned about the well being of your pets and very compassionate to the owners when a crisis arises. That compassion doesn't end when you walk out the door, it carries out to the store or where ever you happen to see them. I just became a pet owner again almost 1 yr of getting over the loss of a pet. I know they were just as excited as we are with becoming pet owners again. I know my new baby is in good hands. P.D.

Overall

Dr. Sarah and her staff are compassionate, kind, respectful and very knowledgeable. They take into account each animals personality, fears and special needs. It is clear each and every staff member loves animals.

We were trepidatious when Dr. Bartelmeier sold the practice, but truthfully, we could not be happier.

The prices are reasonable, even with some of the testing they do.

We've never been pressured to have any tests done, but the benefits are always explained clearly so we can make an informed decision.

We have had nothing but positive experiences at the Antigo Veterinary Clinic.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
