My husband Steve Casey passed away and McDougald’s handled all aspects of his cremation, visitation, and Celebration with expert care. All aspects were handled professionally and went far beyond expectations. I would highly recommend this funeral home. I do not think you could find a better group of people.

My family has used McDougald Funeral Home in the past and they received excellent service, but this was 20 years ago, we revisited them last week for the burial of my grandmother and WOW, things have really changed there. We spoke with Todd and he showed no compassion whatsoever, he didn't even offer his condolences to my parents. Now my grandmother did not have a insurance policy so all of this was going to have to come out of my parents pocket so unfortunately they couldn't come up with 6 grand just like that. So they had 2K and they were in hopes to finance the rest as they had been able to do in the past, they said, no we no longer offer that. Now my parents have good credit and my father is a pastor so you would think they would be willing to work out something but they wouldn't. So here I was feeling helpless seeing the hurt on my fathers face, he just lost his mother and now he has no idea how he is going to be able to give my grandmother a funeral. So we went to other funeral homes, and found out by law they have to release the body if requested, which by the way they embalmed the body as soon as they had come picked her up and didn't even tell my father the price of this was going to be $1250 just for that process, now mind you the 6K was just for cremation, I can't imagine what a traditional funeral cost is there. So we went else where and it was a complete totally opposite experience. I understand that this is a business but Todd acted as a car salesman and myself, my family, his church, his friends, and so on and so on will know of this horrible experience we had with McDougald Funeral Home, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even if you have a great insurance policy, they are a rip off and will charge you triple compared to other funeral homes.

My family has required the services of a funeral home on several sad occasions in the past. My mother and her sister both made their wishes known in writing before they passed away. They wanted to hire The McDougald Funeral Home to handle their funeral services and burials. The family abided by their wishes and just can't say enough good things about the experience. McDougald's employees treated us with great respect and empathy. Even when we were so sad that we had lost our loved one McDougald's helped us by walking us through all of the steps necessary. They gave us privacy and they made very good suggestions when we weren't sure which direction to take.
In summary, they were wonderful to all of our family and they took time to listen to us. They made sure the smallest detail was taken care of. They treated our family as if we were the only customers they had that week. (Of course, we weren't the only family planning a funeral that week.) I want to say a big "Thank You" to the funeral home & their staff. You took care of the details so that we could focus on saying goodbye to our love one. Thank you again.
