Overall
If you value your time/vehicle/belongs DON'T stay here

In the past years returning from Colorado I have stayed here in 2008 and 2010 simply because it was at the east end of town and I was too tired to look around. .. this place has gone down hill.. The place has seen no improvement that I can notice.. from the parking lot to the rooms ..you do not want to be a part of either.. In the room which, if you ever wondered what happened to those television sets you gave to Goodwill..they are equipped with. Finding no remote, I powered on the TV to find 8 fuzzy channels. While downloading the camera, I took notice of the room for what it was worth. The dispenser for tissue.. empty .. toilet tissue a partial roll un folded.. room had a odor and cracks in the ceiling.. I attempted to exit via the sliding glass doors only to find this was cracked and extremely hard to open/close..

My vehicle and cargo traler were damaged due to potholes over a foot deep in the lot,I went to the office and the night shift attendant, asked what I needed. I explained my discontent and course of events. I asked her about the potholes and she admitted knowing about them and that they had put a log in front to mark it... I explained the absence of any log/ marking / warning etc and the damage this had caused. She replied with, "kids must have moved it" I told her why was I not warned when I arrived not to go into that area and she had no excuse but that I would have to talk with the owner, She would not call anyone at that time but would have to call after PM.

I explained the TV with no remote and that when I went to turn the heat on in the room the TV quit working .. I told her there was no remote, and she wanted to find me a remote until I finally made her understand the set itself was broken.

I told her to make a note of what had happened and I would call the owner tomorrow..she agreed

At 0345 PM 11/13/10 I called only to have the lady answer and when I told her I stayed in 105 the night before she hung up on me .. Three more times I called and finally after about 40 rings she answered and I tried to explain what had happened and her reply was "we not responsible you call police .. have lot of trouble in parking lot so call police".. I tried to explain it was with the parking lot itself she stated they were not responsible for that .. I asked when the owner would be in and was told she did not know .. and I should call later .

After 3 more attempts to contact the owner, he answered and I explained my concern and he replied

it was not their responsibility and I told him about the damage and he again accepted nothing. I asked why it was not marked / or I was not warned of the damage and was told I did not need to go over there as was plenty of room to turn around.. maybe so with other cars in the lot .. He exclaimed he was not going to do anything about the damage / mark the area or claim responsibility, I told him about the run down room and he would not refund that as well. .... Spread the word to all your friends or would be travelers that this place, these kinds of ownerships, and traps for all should be boycotted, brought to the attention of the city and community for the hazard they are to society.

Overall
Visited Weeekend of 5/22-5/23

I stayed here this past weekend. The room was acutally a very good size and the beds were comfortable also. The gentleman at the lobby was very nice and he even allowed us to look at the room before we paid. We checked several places around the area and this was the best one with a really good price. I visit Amarillo once a month and I will be here to stay again.
