Summa Rehab Hospital

Absolutely terrible bedside manner with their patients. Not to mention that someone on staff stole a $1,000 necklace from my father-in-law while he was still in recovery, then acts like it was no big deal...This place is a joke! DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES GO HERE!!!

The care my husband received was outstanding. He was treated for brain injury and they most certainly did know what they were doing. The building was clean, smelled good. Therapists and nurses were great. They kept me in the loop his entire stay and had time for me when I asked questions. Would definitely recommend.

My husband was sent here after surgery. Occupational therapy was very good. Physical therapy was good through the week, but they don't work weekends so you get no therapy then. Nursing and aides were pretty horrible at times. Call lights were not answered timely. Twice my husband had to yell fir assistance after no one had answered his call light. He would have to wait for pain meds...an hour or even two after his meds were due. Visitors have nothing to eat unless they order a tray with patient. There are no food vending machines and the little cafe that is there is not open on weekends. Only Monday thru Friday 630 to 3, even though their visiting hours are noon to 8. I would not recommend this place for the most part.

Mother was hospitalized here recently. Call lights going off constantly while several staff members sit at desk and saw incoming patient brought via ambulance to this facility who was out in single digit cold temps for 25 minutes until some staff member unlocked doors!!! Wished we would have read reviews. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE

HORRIBLE - Do NOT send your loved ones here - heck don't send your enemies here. My husband got bedsores from this atrocity, did not receive pain meds timely, nights were awful - staff was not skilled in moving him to bedside commode, the doctor does not listen to you and cuts you off when you're asking questions. AND when we expressed interest in leaving the facility, all rehab was stopped. Don't be swayed by the Summa corporate name like I was - AWFUL - I don't even want to give them a star but YP makes you give at least one.

If you have a stroke and your problems are more of a brain injury, DO NOT go here. They have no idea how to handle brain injures. They said my dad kept refusing treatment. He wasn't able to understand what they wanted him to do. So they decided not to help him and we had to move him somewhere else. They told medicare he wouldn't cooperate. We pick him up at the hospital at 1:00 pm , He was kept at the nurses station all day till we got there. I'm sure we will still be charged for the room. No one even offered to help us get him in the car. Some of the staff was good.

The care is excellent at this hospital. I received great results and I did get home earlier than I expected, but safely. Food was excellent and the stay was short. Glad I went thee and hopefully I can stay at home now to tend my garden.

Be careful they try to discharge too soon when patients cannot even ambulate. The therapy was good but agree with the other review about the nurses! Just make sure your loved one is not being released too soon.

Terrible place. Unclean and unsafe. Stuck up nurses who treat you as a burden. Everyone from every department Ive come across complain how much that hate this place and how unprofessional they are in front of the patients and us family members.
