When my car was mangled in an accident I had it towed here not knowing anything about Fresh Pond Mobil. I was very wary and kept trying to check on prices. But they were truly not taking advantage of me. They always offered a lower priced alternative, and they had my car good as new in no time. An honest place.

First I would like to say that this place has been wonderful in every way. I have brought all 4 of my cars to this service station the Technicians know what the are doing and fix my cars right the first time. I have a BMW,Saab,Toyota,and a Honda and it seems like the always know what is wrong. they provide great service in the office as well the best by far Was this fellow named JACK great smile and very accomadating.I will end by saying they go above and beyond thier call to provide great service.

Eli's Fresh Pond Mobil did a superior, speedy "pit stop quality" job fixing my car. I really don't think that his business would have expanded to the extent that is had by "ripping people off." The harsh reality is that I brought my used 1997 Honda in with 104,000 miles on it and with a very loud rusted out muffler system that needed immediate repair. And, I am not surprised that with the vast number of miles on the car, that my car had other repair issues with the number of miles on my car. Eli and his crew found "a host of other problems" that needed repairs and I gave him the "green light" to go forward. After the job was completed my exhaust system was fixed! (I could have a conversation in my car). My bushings, struts and shocks were replaced! (I had a more than noticeably smoother ride). My leaking rusted out oil pan reservoir was replaced. (Had I not replaced it, my engine could have seized and I might have had major timing belt issues in the future). All these issues were honestly explained prior to the repairs. The great part is that my car was finally repaired at a reasonable and competitive rate. Although I am no expert on cars, it does not take a rocket scientist to realize the "harsh reality" of car repairs. I know that to most reviewers it is a painful reality to spend money on their cars.

I had a very positive experience with their repair shop. I have a 1997 Honda Civic, automatic transmission, with over 300,000 miles on it. My car has been overheating the past week. When overheating, the anti-freeze would boil over, requiring that I periodically top it off every other day with coolant. After doing some research online, I concluded that the problem is an inefficient/old radiator that needs to be replaced. I found one at Autozone for $120, thinking that I would put it in myself. Driving to work one day, I almost nearly didn't make it. The car was overheating badly and required that I fix the problem ASAP. I drove to FPM. They also diagnosed it as a radiator problem(I'm glad we agreed) and quoted me $265 to install it(parts and labor). Diagnosis and repair took a little less than 2 hrs.

I really don't understand the negative reviews posted here. Necessary, reliable automobile repairs are simply not cheap unless your mechanic is a relative! Eli and his workers do good work that I rely on to keep my car safely running.

Eli has always been good to me. I have brought several cars there and have never had a problem. I have called around to get pricing for many of the repairs I've had Eli do, and he is usually the most affordable. On top of that he does the work pretty efficiently.

I thought this was a fair price given that they diagnosed the problem correctly and repaired it quickly. In addition, most people don't realize that an additional job of the radiator is to cool the automatic transmission fluid(there are 4 lines total running in and out of the radiator, 2 for the engine and 2 for the transmission). So the repair can take some effort and would require that you lift the car to get underneath it. Not having the equipment to lift the car and not having to deal with coolant and transmission fluids was worth the the additional $145 that I paid to FPM. People need to be smart consumers. If you go to any place with a big question mark on your face, you're going to end up paying more. If you're an educated consumer and can communicate with the proprietor, you will do okay.

i lived in north cambridge for a year, and got used to going to eli and joseph at FP. even after moving to central square, we would go back to fresh pond because we liked these guys so much.

Ive been bringing my cars here for about 3 years or so and Ive had nothing but good experiences here. I also bring my fiances car here and her sisters car.

The things I appreciate are small - it's easy to drop the car off and to get work scheduled, when my car has a problem they give me a ride home, they write their quotes down for me when asked, and Eli always shows me the areas fixed and explains what he did. I've never felt pushed to do anything overpriced or unnecessary. I had a tree fall on my car in last year's nightmare of a snowstorm and they quickly sent the tow truck to my house, they worked seamlessly with the insurance company.

Eli has always been very straight forward with me, telling me what really needs to be done on the car and what can wait, does the job quickly and has always been fair with pricing. He's both knowledgeable and respectful.

I like this garage. I've used them for over a year now, they are always helpful and explain any problems to me. Prices are fine

I actually just had a great experience with Elie and Joseph. The transmission on my Saturn completely went, literally, with a bang, and all my fluid leaked out of the huge crack in the case. It was Sunday afternoon, and AAA gave me a free tow to a place near my house that was actually open: Fresh Pond Mobil.
