Really nice

It's small, and the yard statues are interesting, but the food and service is really good. They had $12 bottles of wine and quality food.. try it!

Great food, great service!

Checked this place out with the girlfriend one night when we felt like Mexican food. it doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is definitely worth going inside. I got the mixed fajitas. They came out sizzling and tasted even better than they looked. The meat was well seasoned, and the vegetables fresh. I only wish there had been more of the latter. The $12/bottle wine was very good, too. We'll definitely be making this a regular eating place for date night!

After seeing the other reviews I felt compelled to write my own because the other reviews are not even close to my experiences here. I have eaten here all the time since early 2012. I'm under the impression they have changed ownership or at least management since the last reviews from around 2010. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had. The prices are more than fair and I have never had any issue with coupons or them charging my card the wrong amount. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I bought a Restaurant.com certificate to go to this place. The small print says the the certificate is valid from one year of the purchase. The waitress and manager said they don't take them anymore. These cost money on Restaurant.com, and they were rude and wouldn't accept it. I will not go there again.

The food was good, but they did not want to take their own coupon which I had from the local paper. This happened to me TWICE. They said it had to be presented upon ordering. However I had tried to do this, but the waitress had refused to take it. Then when leaving it was supposely too late. The man behind the cash register acted like I was trying to cheat him by wanting to use the coupon. Also on my friend's bill he rang up a higher amount than it was supposed to be, and didn't want to change it. However he did change it before we left.

The food was great but the employees are thieves. I gave them my card, they ran the purchase amount then handed me the receipt to sign. Since I was leaving a cash tip, I crossed out the tip line and carried the balance down. But the amount charged to my account included the tip, which means they re-ran my card with a higher purchase amount. I called them to get my money back and was told they couldn't credit my card, which I know for a lie because I work at a bank, and was promised a refund via a mailed check. Two weeks passed and I hadn't gotten a check, so I called about it and they hung up on me. What they don't know is that I'm a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and their behavior tells me that they are purposely committing fraud. In this instance they stole my cash tip and added it to my card, but I wouldn't be surprised if they also run cards for a higher amount and take cash from the register. So my caution to anyone considering going here, check your state

Very impressive

Today a friend and I decided that we wanted to try out something new in the neighborhood and we decided to check out Dominquez. We were very impressed. From the outside, the restaurant doesn't give you much to go off of, but once you're inside our impression completely changed. The atmosphere was great and the service was remarkable. Then we got our food and things got even better. We were very happy that we did not judge this restaurant by it's cover and gave it a chance. Everything from the bathrooms and the cute little private dining room in the basement to the food and the service make this place a great find.
