The good: Very friendly couple, experienced, and trustworthy. The work that gets done on your car is needed, no unnecessary work is being recommended or performed. Scheduling flexibility is high - and repairs are done very well. The not so good: The hourly rates work out to >$120hr - (or a quarter of million U$$.. a year) which is brand dealer territory pricing. We all understand we pay these rates at the brand dealer to include the guy that washes the car, the ample staff, the brand new loaner, and of course mechanics that are fully trained to handle complex electronics. This you'll not find at Hacker. The verdict: For routine repairs and maintenance that is in DIY territory , Hacker is not competitive. For standard mechanical repairs a great shop to go to. For issues with electronics - you'd need a different shop.
