Prairie View Middle School serves more than 800 students in grades six through eight. It provides classes in communication arts, social studies, art and physical education. Its curriculum also includes classes in life skills, music, biology, physics, chemistry and language arts. The school additionally offers classes in technology education, and family and consumer sciences. It has a media center library that provides books, newspapers, encyclopedias and Internet access. Prairie View Middle School s athletics department offers various activities, such as basketball, football, track, softball, cross country, volleyball and tennis. Its extracurricular activities include various clubs, such as student council, mathletes, pet and yearbook. Prairie View Middle School is part of Kirby School District 140 and is located in Tinley Park, Ill.
