Capital Nail & Spa

So awful. Left in the middle of a pedicure, had an appointment at 3 and they didn't take us until 4. Just went to a nother salon to have them finish my mani.pedi. And they said that capital isn't even correctly liscened .just the worst

I love getting manicures and pedicures. I love to go to different salons and experience what they have to offer. I have gone to Capital Nails and Spa three times. On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best, my experience is a 5. The service there is alright. The spa looks nice. They even have an upstairs. The upstairs is a lot larger than the bottom. A lot of the employees there have a language barrier. They also have white and black people working there. Now I am going to an Asian shop, I am expecting Asian people to do my mani and pedi, not a white or black person. That is like going to a Chinese restaurant and ordering soul food. The place looks clean but I am not really sure how clean it is. The front of the store has cigarette trash and sometimes you find them on the floors inside the salon. I?m guessing the owner of the salon is the skinny guy that smells like smoke and tarter, who greets me when I come into the salon for service. Would that explain the cigarette trash everywhere?

This nail salon looked nice on the inside, but my ecperience there was not what I would have expected it to be. Look is one thing but the service better act according to the look. The manager there said hi to me when i walked into the door but he smell like he just been on a smoke break. But he did stink when I got close to sign their log in book. So he told me to pick out my colors, which I did but they didn't have a lot of the New fall colors. I usually check out my surrounding when I sit down to get a Pedicure or a manicure to see if the place is clean and if all of their employees have proper license. It looked as if some of the employee there didn't have it as I was checking out their desk as I was going to the bathroom.

I was in this salon having my nails painted and a lady came in and said she was from immigration and was asking alot of questions. That lady and a few others went into a office. While they were in there the other employess where laughting and made the comment "they will never catch us" I asked what "what do you mean by that" and the man told me "all of the illegals are off today" and he laughted again. He flat out told me they are illegal! I sat there and thought OMG just let me get out of here befor all hell brakes loose in this salon! I went home and told my friends. We will never go back here again.

the salon is very nice and the staff are super professional. they are very affordable, but everyone i know who goes here has had problems with the acrylic nails. they constantly lift off of your nails. you end up paying more because they have to put new nails on. even an employee of the salon told me they used cheap acrylic and that's why the nails lifted off. the lady i go to told me it was my nails, but all of my friends have had the same problem at that salon.

Great service, great staff.
