This company is so unprofessional. They don't even deserve a star. The Human Resource manager is not educated on policy issues and was the cause of so many issues. Guess how unprofessional they are? After I complained they called my phone pretending to be the president of the company, who is obviously male. The person who prank called we was female. I blogged about my experience in detail, so if anyone is interested in reading it : http://runningfromemptyshoes.com/2016/09/28/reviews-on-austin-staffing-inc/

I would also give 0 stars if I could. I worked on and off with Austin Staffing for about a year in 2012. I worked both off-site for their clients and was also a recruiter for them TWICE. When I went on yelp for the cathartic release of being able to tell the world what a horrible experience it was, they petitioned Yelp and had my posting removed. They cited that "because I had worked for them, I was not able to review them". Um........ They're a staffing agency. It's impossible to review them without working for them.

Austin Staffing literally lies about job postings in order to lure in new talent and to waste their time. I know this because they made me do it.

I wouldn't even recommend this place to someone I hate. The only good thing that came out of working for them are the networking opportunities that come with working with the general public. You can get the same thing working at Subway.

Overall

My experience with Austin Staffing was very unpleasant. They claim to offer health insurance benefits, but I never received mine, even after working with them for 4 months. When I tried to get new glasses, the insurance company they use for vision coverage said I didn't exist. They pay below the standard for the industry; $9.00-9.50 an hour for a customer service position when the average wage for these types of jobs nationally is about $13-14 an hour (http://www.bls.gov/OES/current/oes434051.htm). If you have complaints, they have a very confusing series of procedures you have to follow. When I quit due to intolerable working conditions at one of their clients' job sites, I got blamed for the problem for not reporting it properly to begin with, and I was told that I was 'out of line' when I wrote to them with the many reasons why I quit. They don't listen, and need to learn some skills in empathy and diplomacy. I would never recommend working for Austin Staffing. This is, by far, the worst experience I have ever had working for a staffing agency, and I have worked for various staffing agencies all over Texas since 1998. They don't even deserve one star, in my opinion.

I had interviewed with them in 2009, never got a placement with the exception of a job that paid a very low wage for the skills/experience I have, declined it. Contacted them recently, have not received a single response, I think this is NOT a legitimate business. Will not waste my time with them again.

This place is not worth your time because they never have any jobs available, even basic temporary office jobs that any agency with any sort of quality would be able to find after 6 or 8 months.

Disappointed. I replied to a Craig's List ad, and sent in my resume and took the online testing. I went in for an interview for a company where they were waiting on the signed contract. They said they would call me the next week. I waited 2 weeks and having never received a call, I called. Still waiting on the contract. I called again the end of the next week. Still waiting. I would recommend not interviewing and advertising til you have the contract in hand. Secondly, I would have preferred better customer service. I never received one phone call from them with an update. I even left a message with the person I interviewed with asking about another job he had mentioned that would be a good fit for me and he never returned my phone call.
