Pawsitive Dog Training

I found Vendy and Nichie through one of their associate trainers, Doree Sitterly, who trained my black lab puppy named Sanford at the young age of 13 weeks old. Sanford attended their Saturday socialization classes to sharpen his basic skills and learned how to act around other dogs and people. Vendy and Nichie understand dogs so well that they were very clear to let me know that Sanford was so social that he really needed a companion. An opportunity arose where a yellow female lab, Bella, who had attended their 3 week intensive on-site training course, was available due to an unforeseen family circumstance with her current owner. We adopted Bella and the rest is history....Sanford and Bella are the best of friends and love going to see Vendy and Nichie for either a day of play, when we travel, or to get spa services. S & B give them lots of kisses when they are coming and going from doggy day camp and it makes me so happy to know that they trust and adore Vendy and Nichie as much as I do. They are great people who love animals and the combination of their experience, facilities, and compassion is hard to find.

Pawsitive Power is definitely the positive place for your precious pups! We first heard of Vendy and Nichie from the front desk staff at our veternarian's office. One of them had their dog transformed by Pawsitive Power. You can't get much better than a recommendation from the vet's office. Our lab puppy, Lani, was one misbehaving lab. She was barking, humping, counter surfing and just plain hard to live with. Yes, we were apprehensive about leaving Lani but we wanted her to be the best she could be. Vendy and Nichie diagnosed Lani's problems and knew just how to resolve those issues. WIth the beautiful surroundings at their facility and the gentle, loving training Vendy and Nichie used, our Lani became a much happier and socially well behaved dog. She's a joy to have around and we owe it all to Vendy, Nichie and their entire staff at Pawsitive Power. Lani highly recommends them! The weekly follow-up classes are all an added bonus where the dogs can refresh their skills. It's definitely the positive place to be!

To say that Vendy and Nichie are the best is the understatement of the year! They have trained six dogs for me and all of them have turned out to be loving, well mannered and delightful 4-pawed ladies and gentlemen. As I write this, four of them are doing "pillow, down, stay" next to me. It is one of the best devices for training I know. I tell them we are going to go to work and they run for their pillows so we, the pack, can all be together, and I can get my podcasts done in peace and quiet.

Speaking of peace and quiet, the first dog Vendy trained for me was Gertie, a little poodle/something rescue from Tulsa, OK that I brought home from a television shoot there. She had been taken from a puppy mill by Poodle Rescue and been in three homes before me. No one could stand her screeching and incessant barking - neither could I and my husband was threatening divorce if she stayed in the house! After several weeks with our superladies, she came home a changed mutt. They had figured out what was making her bark - her fear and need to control her situation - and worked with her to become secure, then taught me how to comfort her. Now she is the MOST delightful lady, still barks as a watch dog, but she knows the limits. What a difference. When she came home from her training, my husband stopped threatening to leave me if I kept her, we all had peace in the house again.

Since that time, Vendy has trained all my dogs and I wouldn't even think of taking them anywhere else. In my book they are five hundred stars!

These people know what they are doing!! I sent my puppy there and after a few weeks I had a well behaved dog, with his spirit still intact. I bring him there for refreshers while Im out of town and he loves going there. Exceptional experience with all kinds of dogs. This is a A+ dog trainer.

Vendy and Nichie have trained and boarded my Briard (Brando) since he was a puppy. Not only is Brando well mannered but he is a show stopper whenever we are in public. Through the work we have done with Vendy and Nichie I take Brando to restaurants with outdoor seating and I feel comfortable with Brando around other dogs - small and large, and children. He is very well socialized. I owe it all to Vendy and Nichie and the training they offer. I would definitely recommend PAWsitive Dog Training for your dog.

nikki and vendy and the rest of the Pawsitive Staff are absolutely amazing. What a difference they have made on our pug "lola"...She not only got trained there, but she visits there for her mini-vacations....They are amazing and it feels great to be able to trust and rely on them to give my "lola" the absolute best care ever....So many people have commented on "lola's" amazing transformation. When I drop her off she gets so excited to visit her "home away from home" that she just sees her trainer and doesn't even glance back at her mommy for a quick little good-bye. I love Pawsitive Training as it has changed not only my dog's life but mine as well....It should be obvious to anyone how much I love them by the number of times i have taken and continue to take my "lola" there for dog-sitting while I am out of town or even for some refresher courses and some play time with other doggies.....they are fabulous, absolutely fabulous.....a MILLION stars

I have had two other dogs and they were both trained by two other trainers. I have found the BEST with these trainers!!! When Daisy sees Nichie and Vendy at their followup classes she is so happy to see them! Dogs can't pretend! Their followup classes (offered for free) are just great! They really help reinforce all the things she has learned. It is like getting together with family and friends. I know that if Daisy was able to rate them on a scale from 1 to 10 she would give them a 10 1/2!

After trying several dog trainers for my lovely misbehaved boxer "joe", we nearly gave up all hope. He was destuctive and did not listen to us. You were our last hope. We cant thank you enough for the miracle that you have done for us. Joe, although we loved him very much, was on the verge of us having to find him a new home. When we dropped him off to your beautiful doggy camp, he was an out of control and destructive dog.After spending time with you, he was returned with amazing manners and listens to everything we ask of him. Your positive training methods are simply the best. Our family cant thank you enough for the turn around in our now loving, well behaved member of our family.It was worth every penny well spent.
