        The Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches is a nonprofit organization governed by a fifteen-member volunteer board of directors offering crisis intervention, screening and evaluation services conducted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The primary focus is on children and seniors who have immediate and acute needs. The centers are staffed by interdisciplinary teams of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, certified addictions professionals and other disciplines. The West Unit provides therapeutic intervention services to adults in psychiatric crisis. Services include assessment, treatment planning, and intervention. The East Unit meets the behavioral healthcare needs of persons over 60 years of age, as well as others who are frail or in need of a low stimulus environment. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

        Overall

        When I was emitted into jerome golden center on 45th street in west palm beach, I had a seizure in the doctors office. 2 guys picked me up, dragged me to my bed and throw me on the floor next to my bed. I was paralyzed at the time. when I came to, I could hear them yelling at me to get into bed. I suffer from PTSD from growing up of the abuse and mistreatment I had, and to be abused by a place that is supposed to help, I now suffer from the memories of how them 2 men, that doctor, and that place treated me!! This one older gentleman was there and he was harmless, they treated him so badly I wish I could have done something. I felt so powerless and hopeless!!
