I've had no personal experience but the reviewer here noted another publicized escape. Here's one of a very dangerous felon:

The man who escaped from an inmate transit van near Spencer this summer faces an additional count of sexually assaulting a child. There are two warrants out for Oscar Antonio Herrera-Menjivar and a third is “in the works,” according to Detective Tim Flohrschutz of the Omaha, Neb., Metro Fugitive Task Force. Herrera-Menjivar was arrested June 25 in Florida, charged with first-degree sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl. He left Nebraska for Florida shortly after the girl reported the crime, but was captured in Florida. While he was aboard a van operated by the Inmate Services Corp., of West Memphis, Ark., he escaped when it stopped at an interstate convenience store near Spencer, South Dakota. He has since been spotted in the Omaha area twice. Additional investigation identified two more victims. Both were girls, 12 and 14.

I experienced what I percieve to be blatant discrimination at this company today when I attempted to apply for a job in reference to their classified ad in the newspaper. The guy who answered the door was reluctant to let me inside. That was the first red flag. Once inside, he kept badgering me about my driving record, as if it was unheard of for a black person to NOT have a clean driving record. He did almost everything he could to deter me from applying for the job and laughed at me as I was walking out the door. I felt so humiliated and disrespected. I am SO SICK of all of this racial profiling and discrimination!!!

When you go to their website you will receive information that is FALSE. They claim that....



1. All Vans are equipped with GPS in reality only one is.



2. All inmates wear orange jumpsuits. There are times when they do not even carry jumpsuits and/or do not carry enough for every inmate.



3.Vans are equipped with a female cage to separate them from male inmates.

In one of their two vans there is no cage between the agents and the inmates and no additional cage in either of the vans for females.



4. Agents have 40 hours of classroom training.

There is no classroom training, they are sent out on their first haul with no additional training because it is all "on the job training" and sent out unpaired



5.All agents will properly use seat belts on all passengers during transport at all times.

They haul to over capacity there have been times when there were 16 people in a 12 passenger van, with the females inside the cage with the male agents sitting on the "bed mat" which is equipped with no seat belts because it is used for sleep not occupancy. There has also been male inmates that have had to sit on the floor in the back of the van.



6. The vehicles used are minimum 2 years old.

They have mechanical failures at least one time during the whole trip.



7. Inmate packets and paperwork.

Most of the time the paperwork is WRONG which includes but not limited to wrong names, wrong addresses.



8..They have also used Chevy tags on a ford transportation vehicle that by the way were expired.



Inmate Services Corporation is the most unprofessional company that I have ever encountered. They are unorganized and unequipped to efficiently and safely preform their services, they are a disgrace to inmate transportation companies and I have no Idea how they have continued to be in service
