Dr. John A Mirczak, MD

This doctor is a nice man. He seems to comes off a little standoff-ish but his blank expression means he's just absorbing what you are saying.

He once asked me a question about something I forgot I had ever told him, unlike most psychs who cut you off mid-sentence and throw a script at you. Once I had an emergency that needed immediate attention. He took care of it over the phone.

When my insurance lapsed he waited until I came in for our appointment and notiifed me at the end of our session. I imagine most doctors would call their patient and say, "if you plan on coming it'll be $150 (his fee)." That is another thing, he is an affordable psychiatrist and he doesn't have you in-and-out. He listens to you for a little while, not a full hour but about 20 minutes. I really think his semi-cold demeanor is just his expressions not matching his feelings.

Anyway, if you need a psychiatrist, go see Dr. Mirzcak. He listens and he tries to work with the treatment you want while he factors in his expertice.
