McNamara, Ney, Beatty, Slattery, Borges & Ambacher LLP was originally founded in 1954 by Daniel McNamara and William Channell in response to a need for a defense litigation firm in the burgeoning Contra Costa County corridor. Walnut Creek has since emerged as the hub for business and law in Contra Costa County.Upon William Channell's recruitment to a Superior Court judgeship in 1970, and his subsequent elevation to the California Court of Appeal of the First Appellate District in 1983, Daniel McNamara continued to guide the firm into one of the leading independent defense litigation practices in the region.In 1988, the firm established a second office in Fairfield to better serve our clients and to meet an increasing demand for high-quality legal representation in Solano County. As of mid-2005, the firm has opened a third office in Tracy for the purposes of both better servicing its existing San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County clients and to Serve the legal needs of the growing Central Valley.The firm primarily serves Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Solano, Napa, Sonoma and Sacramento counties, enjoying long-standing relationships with a roster of both regional and national clients.Since its inception in 1954, McNamara, Ney, Beatty, Slattery, Borges & Ambacher LLP has become one of the largest and most respected defense litigation practices in Northern California.
