MAC Cosmetics

I made an appt to get my make up done. Did not realize it coincided on local high school homecoming. Several young girls were lined up to get their make up done. My appointment was for 1130 and I don't believe my service began until 1220. No big deal, I understand how these things can go! The girl who originally was supposed to work on me made me nervous, she had very anxious energy and was seemingly exasperated jumping around from one girl to the next, calling out to people browsing products etc..she had me prep my own face, once again no big deal I was not put off. And then began applying foundation while still working on another young girl. I could tell the young girl was upset that she diverted her attention yet again while still attempting to put the finishing touches on her make up. I felt for her. When I was finally able to sit in 'the chair' the make up artist once again, anxiously and nervously asked how I liked the base. It did not match but I knew Id be wearing body make up to my event so I could even it out at home. I was really operating on a deadline at this point to get in and out in a timely manner. I asked her if she needed a breather genuinely concerned she could use a break, she laughed and said no. Okay, I thought let's do it then. I wanted a dramatic look to say the least. So I pull out reference pictures to aid her. She immediately stops and passes me off to another girl. I have to say I was relieved. She handed me off to another girl named Chelsea, explaining that she had already done so many like what I picked out, that it was some one else's turn... like I said I was relieved but at this point we were approaching 1pm and I had a touch of foundation on my face.. appointments are clearly not a concern on high volume days like these,was the only notion I could gather. I met Chelsea and was instantly refreshed by her polite and straight to the point manner, and her energy was calm and soothing. I showed her the pictures and she looked excited not annoyed by my choices. She got to work immediately.I was in and out in 30 minutes and had a pleasant experience with her. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed.. I'm giving 4 stars because of Chelsea.She is a talented young woman who helped me distinguish between a professional make up artist, and someone who just 'does make up'. I took a star off because the wait time was a little outrageous given that I made an appointment. Will definitely recommend to others but hopefully something can be addressed regarding scheduling?
