Heron's Landing

When I first moved in here the apartment wasn't ready on the move in date they gave me so I had to move into an apartment that had dirty carpets. I lived in an upstairs one bedroom (J2) with a vaulted ceiling and the roof was falling apart, causing leaks every time it rained. I had several items damaged, including an antique lamp, for which management did not reimburse me. There was mold and water damage in the bathroom which was there when we moved in. I moved to the apartment directly downstairs (J1) in late 2012 and discovered there was an even worse mold problem there. I finally got the manager to come and look at the mold and she took pictures then 4 days later we got a notice on our door giving us 60 days notice to vacate the apartment! There is mold on the ceiling in the bedroom in the corner that is closest to the front door. They blame it on the flood in 1996 but it's on the CEILING... I know the upstairs door frame has no flashing under it and there's a gap almost 2 inches that allows water to get inside the wall and that's obviously causing the mold, but they refuse to install flashing to prevent the problem. The back sliding glass door has an even worse problem, as during storms there is a serious leak coming from the door frame which is impossible to catch because it's right against the door!! Again, same issue with the upstairs door frame out back, I lived there and I know there is a big gap under the door which allows water to get inside the wall! The management blames it on the siding, which is absurd. They refused to even look at it or to do anything about it after I complained several times. I have to move now because they refuse to fix the mold, which is the worst in the bathroom, where it's even growing on the cupboard, and in the drywall behind the toilet, literally rotting the wall. All the caulking in the shower is black and disgusting and instead of fixing any of these problems they're kicking us out. This is a HORRIBLE place to live. Oh and they moved a family of 9 into the apartment I used to live in upstairs from us. Oh did I mention there is a cross-connection with the plumbing? That means upstairs and downstairs are sharing the water lines and the weird people upstairs purposely turn on the water and mess with the temperature while you take a shower. They're also all crazy and anti-social and purposely bang things around if you try to do dishes, like they think you're making noise to bother them, so they try to make noise to bother you. The management knows how many people live there, they don't care. So if you have a family of 9 and have a low/no standard of living, don't worry, they'll rent even a one bedroom unit to you!
