Dr.Schmidtt performed an emergency cholostomy on my husband this past April, 2018. While he did well with the procedure it was his attitude afterwards that was mind-numbing. While I was still reeling from the shock that my husband had to be outfitted with a Cholostomy bag possibly for the rest of his life. (My husband was a very active man both at home and his work, a new employee). This Dr. who couldn't even answer a simple question as to when he thought my husband would be able to come home or return to work said I was being demanding to know these basic questions and in a most insensitive tone told me he didn't understand why he had to deal with an irate, upset wife. This was (10) minutes into the conversation. He was rude, arrogant and obtuse, a very discompassionate Dr. He began touting his medical degree at me instead. I have only seen two physicians behave in this manner in the last (13) years that I have dealt with Dr.'s due to my husbands medical condition. He might know how to perform surgery but this Dr. has no compassion for the patients loved-ones and a horrible bedside manner.
