Dr Tavel Family Eye Care

I'm extremely pleased, overall!! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, from beginning to end. Dr. McCoy, was wonderful!! I generally don't comment on these reviews, however this time was the exception. Thank you!!

Please take your kids somewhere else for your eye care needs. Poorly trained staff and no customer service skills. I took a child in for an appt. I was in the waiting room with 3 other children. They did not involve me in the process at all. No one asked me approval of the frames or discussed with me any change in prescription. After speaking to the eye doctor and staff at a later date they do not involve the parent. They just want you in and out as quickly as possible.
Rude and unprofessional.

Horrible place....I just went in to get an updated prescription. I had the old Dr. Tavel and he took over 45 mins and kept rechecking my eyes. He refused to give me my written prescription before I left despite the fact I paid $120 for the exam. When I called the office next week (after Christmas), I was told I had an outstanding bill-$18 for an eye dilation. I have been going to eye doctors since I was 8 and I know when my eyes are dilated. It was not done! Soo, now I'm out $120 and was told by Mike, the rude person from Dr. Tavel (Mike refused to give me his title or last name-pretty obvious why!) that I would not receive a prescription until my bill was paid. I had to ask twice to get a receipt for the $120 "exam" and have zero to show for it. Unethical, rude, unpleasant, unorganized and ignorant place. Save yourself aggravation and MONEY and go anywhere else for a better experience!
